Robert Montgomery is a highly recognised Registered Architect with 30 years of practice experience, including the past 23 years as a leading architect in Wellington. Robert's design expertise is supported by his success as a master planner and project manager. Robert has worked extensively around New Zealand and in the South Pacific during his career.

As a Director of Peddle Thorp & Montgomery, Robert has had overall responsibility on a wide range of projects, including Office and Hotel buildings and Resorts, Educational Facilities, Modular Concept Classrooms, Sports Ground and Recreational Facilities, Tourism Facilities, Urban Design and Interior Architecture/Design projects.

As well as being Principal Designer on some prestigious Wellington landmarks, Robert has designed and project managed environmentally sensitive residential, resort, civic and educational projects in the Lake Taupo District, and in the Cook Islands.

Robert has extensive experience in the Resource Management Compliance and Consent application processes for large projects. As well as being the lead designer/principal Architect on significant projects, it is one of Robert's key leadership philosophies and responsibilities, to challenge and demand design excellence and service from the consultants and contractors. He is committed to delivering the design and construction into a reality for the client through a well managed and planned delivery process.
