Peddle Thorp & Montgomery were the Architects for a $1.7M reinstatement of a sports grandstand
destroyed by fire, on behalf of the Hutt City Council. The new Grandstand retained the character of
the original building while incorporating many new features, including a sports viewing lounge and
an Indoor cricket training facility.
The form of contract for this project was a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract, administered by
Peddle Thorp & Montgomery. The users of this facility include Cricket Wellington and the Hutt Old
Boys Marist Rugby Club as well as the Athletics Club, the general public and users of the Hutt Recreation ground.
