Peddle Thorp & Montgomery were the Architects for the $1.7M reinstatement for the Hutt City Council of the Grandstand that was burnt down. The new Grandstand retains the character of the original building and incorporates many new features including a full length viewing lounge and an Indoor Cricket training Facility which will act as the centre for cricket training in the Hutt Valley. The form of contract for this project was a Guaranteed Maximum Price contract administered by Peddle Thorp & Montgomery.
The users of this facility include the Hutt Valley Cricket Association (now Cricket Wellington), Hutt Old Boys Marist Rugby Club, The Athletics Club and the general public and users of the Hutt Recreation Ground. The lounge facility is available for all clubs on a flexible user basis.
