The completed fit out in Hobson Street, Auckland provides new studios and offices for Radio New Zealand local operations, as well as critical emergency back up to the main Wellington operations.
The new 750 m2 facility comprises 13 acoustic spaces including 13 voice booth and central suites and numerous studios. In addition, the Fitout provides office space, reception, staff lounge and a multi-function meeting space.
The multi function space is used as a board room in its closed state, or it can be opened numerous ways to create a formal greeting space adjacent to the reception area, or a large function space opening into the staff lounge.
With servicing controlled from a Central Apparatus Room, careful coordination was required to accommodate the intensive HVAC and data services necessary in such a technologically complex environment.
Other works with Radio New Zealand have included the new 3,500m² studio and head office fit out in Wellington, and tenancy fit out for operations in Dunedin.
