Peddle Thorp and Montgomery's design for the new Tawa Recreation Centre was hailed as a "winner" in the local media for the facilities it provides for the school and local community.
The project was a successful collaboration between Tawa College and the Wellington City Council and involved the refurbishment of the existing College gymnasium, along with the construction of an additional gymnasium, with classroom and related changing, storage and teaching spaces.
