Heide_Gallery

In the second half of the twentieth century, the Heide Estate was a creative haven for Australia's artistic and literary community and maintains to this day an outstanding collection of Australian modern art. The redevelopment addressed the demand for additional exhibition and storage spaces. Accordingly Peddle Thorp created a new building, sympathetic to the existing complex. Functioning as a purist museum for the visual arts the new building incorporates modern display and lighting techniques.
