Project Size: 28 000m²
Project Value: NZ$45 Million
Location: Wellington, New Zealand
This project was developed in 2 stages in the early 90's and was
completed in 1999. It featured the partial demolition of the old
central police station and the construction of a public car park
funded by Wellington city Council and located behind the old restored
and refurbished police station wings on Waring Taylor Street and Johnson
Street.
The car park and refurbished police station buildings were completed in the
first stage with the office tower following this. The office tower provides
premium quality office space in central Wellington, with a unique formal
entrance off Midland park, a popular spot for Wellington office workers in
summer time.
Robert Montgomery was the principal architect and Richard Kaye was the project
architect. The project was developed by Norseman Pacific Ltd and Mainzeal
Development and built by Mainzeal Construction. Mobil Oil was the initial
anchor tenant.
