Next year the Petone Working Men's Club is building the largest conference facility in Wellington. Members have given the go-ahead for massive conference centre development next year that will draw more business to the area. The development is expected to cater for 500 people charities. "We give a lot back the community," says Eddie Wairu. "It will be a wonderful facility for the community, it's going to be massive and bring a lot of the business from Wellington to Petone. "Imagine the benefit to accommodation, motels, restaurants, and increased employment for the area," says Eddies Wairu, Manager for Petone Working Men's Club.
